I have some players from s6 and s7 who are going to join an alliance that i plan on founding My friends in my alliance would be happy to be part of the meta

I like the Wonderful Coalition part but the s3 is kinda strange

Also coalitions are metas that unite for a ceartain cause not just to be a strong alliance/meta

How about Nephi, WW(wonderful warriors)like you said SlavoziWE(Wonderful Empire) or whatever

Glad that so many people are coming back . Once things settle down a bit, I will make a few more posts here trying to organize us in terms of starting position, alliance name, wing name blahblah .
I don't want us to be many alliances, but rather one alliance, with a few branches, thx to the stupid 60 limit. Also, more democratic this time

First i want to give a big thanks to everyone in the Southeren coalitions! Its been fun working with you, and im glad we won the server before CF got their ww back on track! A big thanks to Nottio and his team for all the time they spend.

We, the members of Rise - or some of us, are going to re-join on the next server 3 (even though its not going to be a classic one :/ )

We are planning on making several dual or triple accounts, and then move a bit out from whereever we start. So if we decide to start in the SE, we will probably move a 100 squares out of there, and build up and empire out there. Being able to provide huge cleaners and a good defence.

We are probably also going to name the alliance Rise again, in honour of all our lost friends through this server, who was indeed all very good players!

- To those of you who are looking for a new place to start over, and think that the idea of moving a bit away from the center, is a good idea, then please let me know. And you will become a part of the plann. We also have some members that dont have anyone to dual with yet, so if your into that, then we have players you can dual with too

But I am going to stay in touch with Redbosn, so together we will plan things out. I think he is completely right about that we have to make a few alliances, all with 60 players in each, instead of having so meany wings as we have now! That way it will be easier to handle diplomacy and war affairs.

About a name for all of us, which could be infront of our own name, as XXX - Rise , then i honestly dont care. Just dont call it anything completely stupid

A good idea is to start the server in the same quadrant but then form up alliances based on where you land within that quadrant. If you register right away, chances are you'll be around the middle - wait a day or so and you'll usually be a little further out.

I like the location of my last village. Literally right next door to DWII on one side and on the other side right next door to SWAT. Surrounded by friends.

It's probably best to wait a few days before actually joining. This way, you may be behind a bit, but at least you will not be smack-dab in the middle of the entire server, which can be both beneficial and disadvantageous at the same time.

Pros of being/starting in the middle:
- Easy access to the entire server
- You get a few more days of game-time.

Cons:
- You will be an easy target
- Much of the server can own you early on
- You start out with lots of people around you that are likely to be very aggressive
- There's heavy competition for oases and the like

Anyway, I'm going to be a Teuton this time around (I was Roman before), and I'm going to try to be just a little bit closer to the center this time. I'm aiming for around (-100, -50) or so, rather than my previous capital at (-125, -80). It was a good spot, but it was still rather removed from the action for the vast majority of the game (except the end-game).

We should be joining a week from start, or 2.
Pros:
Extended noob protection
Farm heaven
Good removed locations from the messy center

Cons: Far away? Not a big deal though.
We should split into 2 groups, one in SW, one in SE. that way, we can dominate 2 areas, or at least dominate one, and be influential in the other. what say you?

Are we sure that S3 won't be a Classic server? Where did you get that info Rion?

I think that he may be on the money on that one... Some convos I've had with admins had the same insinuation...

And count me in, I will be restarting server 3, which I really hope stays as a classical server.

An admin said there'd be no more classic servers (non-hero/non-oasis). That's a thing of the past now.

My capital was at -28|-29. The great thing about that is that there are enemies to fight. It can be very boring to just grow your little villages and trade with friends. When we had to take on LG, it was great because I was close enough to get in on the action.

I normally avoid the center but found it suited me great this round. It does help if you have strong friends in the center with you.

That's a good point Lady. While it can be demoralising at times if you're constantly attacked, it's fun to be in the midst of a war and have someone to attack every day you login.

That's why the best area is probably -75,-75 or so. You can access most of the server from there without being targeted too easily.

I am trying to decide on whether to be a Gual or a Roman. What are the pros and cons?

Roman has the most crop-effective infantry, can build two things at once, and has the best heroes (Equites Caesaris). They have HORRIBLE merchants, and their defending units (Praetorians) are rather slow. And their cavalry sucks.

Gauls have Trappers, the best Crannies, and some great infantry. They have, I believe the best merchants and some decent cavalry.

Teutons have the cheapest troops overall. Their infantry is completely NOT cost-effective, but they get the job done. They have the best cavalry unit: The Teutonic Knight. However, most defensive units blow.

Just one correction, Teutons have more merchant space than Gauls (but Gauls may be faster merchants, not sure).

Romans = 500 resources/merchant
Gauls = 750 res/merchant
Teutons = 1000 res/merchant

Oh well. Either way, Teutons have the cheapest and quickest troops when it comes to building, so I suppose that overall they are best for attacking. They have the Paladin against infantry, and the spearmen against cavalry.

Gauls have medium units in price and crop-effectiveness. They have the best raiding unit, the Teutates Thunder, and have good, cheap, and fast-building defensive units (Phalanx).

Romans are raw power when it comes to their infantry. They are bad when it comes to defending against cavalry, but no infantry can survive the Praetorian's efficiency (65 inf.def!). Their Imperian is the best unit in the game by far, but it's slow to build and takes lots of resources.

Gauls have the fastest merchants, twice as fast as Teutons and 1.5x faster than Romans. Efficiency wise, Gauls win hands down. If you want to maximize your trade, which is an important strategy early in the game (and during endgame), gauls are a great way to go.
